Staphylococcus Aureus, often called "staph," is a bacteria that is found on the skin of healthy people.  On occasion, staph can get into the body and cause an infection.  This can be a minor skin infection or a more serious blood infection or pneumonia.

Methicillin is an antibiotic commonly used to treat staph infections.  Some staph bacteria have developed a resistance to Methicillin and are called Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus or MRSA.
